Lisa Touray has an overwhelming desire to help people realize how precious life is, encouraging them to use their time to do what makes them happy and excited to get up every morning.
Her extraordinary story of transforming her own life started when she became a single mom at the age of 17. Then, after finding the love of her life, she completed grade 12, followed by a degree in nursing. After a tragic accident, Lisa suddenly found herself, at 30, a widowed single mom with two young children to raise.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Vancouver Island University and has worked as a registered nurse in various fields for the last 10 years. Yet, slowly, over time, she found herself increasingly unhappy and felt in her heart she was meant to do something else.
During her nursing career, many patients, colleagues, friends and family members complained they were suffering at their jobs and their lives were not fulfilling. She herself was doing the same thing day in and day out with little enjoyment. She was stuck in a rut, and most of the people she spoke with were experiencing similar feelings.
Lisa remarried at age 36, and in 2012 she was blessed with a beautiful daughter. As she started a year of maternity leave, the freedom from work allowed her to reflect on her life, conduct research, and find a mentor. As her friends and family shared their frustrations, Lisa was able to lift them back up. She knew this was her calling.
She has found her true passion—the passion to help heal people with her heart-centered stories. Her life experiences inspire and help others improve the quality of their own lives.
